Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6
I AM THE WAY: Jesus is the way, by design of the Father. He lived and died, was sacrificed on the cross for our sins, and receiving His body and His blood is the way! Receiving it one time by accepting Christ as the Savior of the world, and then continuously throughout the Christian walk by applying the blood wherever necessary, receiving refreshings through communion service, and living the freed life daily, having understood the power and fulfillment of Jesus’ sacrifice.
I AM THE TRUTH: Jesus is the Word, the living Word, the written Word. He is our Bible; I don’t know how else to say it. He is the Author, alive in it and through it if you can see it. The Bible is the truth! Jesus is the truth! Reading the Bible is not enough, but understanding it with the help of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, and applying it to daily life, being transformed by it, makes you a true disciple.
I AM THE LIFE: Jesus is life in several ways. Through Him, we come to be alive on this earth. Every other lifestyle is existence, either sleeping or dead, deceived, and following one's own ways, which amounts to nothing. Jesus is life because it is through and with Him that we will be alive with Him and the Father for eternity.
We cannot approach the Father, Yahweh, God Almighty, in any other way than through His Son Jesus! This doesn’t mean through one of the three parts Jesus is, but through ALL that Jesus is combined! We need to receive His sacrifice and learn what power and freedom is given to us by it (The Way). We need to be transformed through the Word of God, loving it and thirsting for more (The Truth). And we must live as shining lights, alive and directed by His guidance (The Life). That’s the way to the Father!
